Executive Director
Alexandra Ingram is the Founder and Executive Director of Make the Distinction, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and preparing teen girls in the Philadelphia area through personal and professional development. With over ten years of experience in youth development and consulting, she works as an independent contractor, collaborating closely with school districts in Philadelphia and Greater Philadelphia through small group facilitation.
Alex discovered her purpose as an undergraduate student leader at Kutztown University and later earned her Master of Social Work degree from West Chester University in 2013. Her service journey includes time with City Year (AmeriCorps) in Miami, FL, rebuilding homes in New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina, and participating in a mission’s team to build a home for a family in Nicaragua. Over time, Alex has developed a keen interest in becoming a speaker and aims to inspire others through her words.
Guided by her favorite quote from Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel,” Alex is committed to adding value to people's lives, whether it's the youth she serves or a stranger on the street.
